How to create a bootable drive with the latest Windows Operating System

Although we can reset our windows machine with an internal tool Reset my PC and can restore our OS efficiently. However, this method tends to fail in the middle of the processing due to one or another error, and we get stuck with no OS in our system. In such cases, we need an external bootable Pendrive loaded with the latest OS to install the same from the top.
Here are the few steps you need to complete to build a bootable Pendrive for the latest OS.

1. Connect your USB drive to your System.

2. Go to this link and click on the Download tool now (Refer to the below screenshot)


3. Once you click on the Download tool now button, it will download a small executable file Named MediaCreationTool. Double Tap on that.

4. It will open a new dialogue box after you double-click that file. It will prompt you to Accept\Decline the License Terms. Please Accept the terms(Refer to the below screenshot)


5. After Accepting the agreement, it will give you two options to choose from. The first one is to upgrade this PC now and the second one is to create installation media (USB, flash drive, DVD, ISO file for another PC). Choose the latter one and click next.

6. In the next window, you will get the below choices to select as per your condition.

          Language: Select as per your region

          Edition: whatever the latest available

         Architecture: select as per your requirement


(Refer to the below screenshot) After you are done with the selection, click Next.

7. Next windows will have the list of external drives attached to your machine. Please pick the one which you want to make a bootable drive and click Next.


8. This was the final step, now The Media Creation Tool will begin downloading the latest Windows 10 installation files on your computer. This might take 30 mins or more based on the internet speed.

9. Once downloading is concluded, click Finish.

It indicates that your bootable USB drive is ready. You can ascertain the same by going to the file-explore of the USB drive. It will show you installation files(Refer to the below screen)


Now you need to boot your system with this removable drive to install\format your system with the latest Windows operating system.
